Women share a unique language when they are communicating with other females. This “womenspeak” involves words, behaviors and topics that not only draw them closer together but have positive health benefits as well. Womenspeak expresses care and concern for other members in the group. When two or more women get together they immediately ask how the other is feeling. True womenspeak is nonjudgmental.Female conversations focus on issues that are happening right now.They almost never stop a conversation to interject a joke. Instead, they discuss current happenings in their lives. Kids, boyfriends and husbands provide hours of grist for the womenspeak conversation mill.Women are acutely aware of each other’s appearance and will spend a portion of every conversation making positive comments.
- Women are truly an important aspect to our community. There loving and nurturing mannerism that they pass down from one generation to another is truly amazing. Who could imagine life without the words and wisdom of a women ? Its without a doubt a necessity.

I completely agree! After reading this I went to my aunts house (I was home for the weekend) and i noticed this "womenspeak" when all of my aunts were sitting around talking. WOMEN RULE!
ReplyDeleteSo it is true that women speak in their own language. I always thought that it was true but now I have evidence. Anyway this does make sense and has probably been developed over the past thousand years or so to help women better understand each other because it seems that they think a lot more the same way then men do. Also it does seem as though women do talk more then men even if my gender class taught me differently. This is a fascinating topic.
