Over looked
Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) Awareness Day held annually on the ninth day of the ninth month. This was created about 30 years after a general surgeon started issuing warnings about this disorder. Many times it is over looked due to the many different disorders that can be obtained during pregnancy. I also didn't know that there was a FASD awareness day, and I certainly agree that this is overlooked by society. I feel that it should be out there more, to promote healthy life choices for mothers that may or may not know the effects of alcohol on their unborn children.
